We respect the confidentiality of users of this website and take care over the security of your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This statement tells you how and why we use your information.

Your choice

Certain areas of this website require you to register or give us a few personal details. The Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre may get in touch with you by email if you have opted to receive more information communications from us. You can opt out of receiving these messages at any time. Registration is voluntary. However if you do not wish to register, you will be unable to access restricted areas, such as the Events Calendar editing functionality. The majority of the website does not require you to register to access content.

We promise to keep your personal data safe. We store your details securely and do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. We may sometimes use the services of third parties such as mailing houses to issue communications on our behalf, and require them to protect your personal information to the same degree that we do. We sometimes send information about other aspects of our work such as events and volunteering opportunities.
