When we first hatched we lived in our jelly bubble until we could swim properly. This time lapse photo shows us growing up.
Growing Up
Hello my name is Tobias Tad and I recently hatched from this spawn. The picture shows mum and dad making the spawn from which I came.
!’ve never seen my mum or dad. They left
the pond when they finished the spawn.
We are all growing very quickly now and we swim about in large groups. This is to try and confuse all the predators I think just about every other creature living in our pond would like to eat us! Already I have lost some of my friends.
Sometimes we hang out with toad tadpoles. They are smaller and darker than us.
