Charging Policy
Charges will apply based on the size of the enquiry area. See the table below for guideline figures. Charges are waived for non-commercial enquiries.

Enquiries can be tailored to suit your needs (bespoke enquiries). If you require less information than provided in a full response, then a reduced charge may apply. There is a minimum charge of £30 + VAT.

Charging Policy Notes
The guideline charges above apply to a standard report which contains the following information:
- Sussex Rare Species Inventory report.
- Sussex Protected Species Register report.
- Sussex BAP Species Inventory report.
- Sussex Bat Inventory report.
- Sussex Bird Inventory report.
- Sussex Invasive Alien Species report.
- Sussex Environmental Survey Directory search.
- Maps showing the boundaries of designated sites, habitats and ownership/management relevant to the enquiry area.
- Citation sheets for relevant national and local wildlife sites.
- Summary sheets for habitats flagged up on the map showing the relevance of the habitat both nationally and within a Sussex context.
The Small Print
- Enquiries received from the general public or from educators are generally free of charge.
- No enquiry will be carried out without the completion of an information request form.
- Enquiries on behalf of local or national recording schemes and societies are free of charge.
- All enquirers are made aware of the potential cost prior to SxBRC undertaking a report.
- No charge is made to organisations/departments of organisations that are partners of the Record Centre or to their contractees (specifically when working on behalf of a Partner). An up to date list of SxBRC partners is kept on our partners page.
